Custom Case for Thesis Research

I designed and built a case for my handmade book, The Power of an Alphabet to Define a Culture. Using the symbols of Heaven, Earth, and Man that are the basis for the vowels in the Korean alphabet, I designed a pattern for the removable top. As red is an important unifying color for the book, I used solid cherry wood because over time the material will deepen in its red color.
