“We want to contrast ways identity is defined and constrained by governmental authorities and how individuals create and define their own sense of identity. The documents we provide will allow for specifications and qualities avoided or banned by givernments (forms of gender, ethnicity, class, age, description, photographic representation, etc). Completed documents will be the property of the client who purchases them with ofWhats money, but a second copy will be displayed on the gallery walls.

The walls will populate and fill through the week of open services. Copies of completed documents, photographs of hair cuts and nail art, as well as the paper flowers made by clients in exchange for ofWhats. Each service area will have a portion of the gallery space, identified by signage and necessary equipment.”
